Roberto DiDomenico Winemaker’s Notes
A mild winter followed by a warm spring led to an early bud break, raising hopes for an abundant harvest. However, the summer brought some unexpected challenges, including sporadic heatwaves and intermittent rainfall. The careful management of the vines, coupled with the utilization of advanced viticultural practices, ensured the grapes reached optimal maturity. Conditions for harvest were quite favourable, with wineries reporting a broad window of opportunity to bring in grapes. This wine is back by popular demand, made first as a Nouveau, this vintage was picked along with regular harvest but has the same great flavour profile of this unique grape variety only grown in a handful of vineyards in Ontario.
Tasting Notes and Food Pairings
A fruity off-dry white wine that is always a crowd pleaser with juicy fruit aromas and flavours. Sweet tropical fruit of pineapple, papaya, peach and mango on the nose and palate. Pairs well with German fare like schnitzel and spätzle as well as grilled garlic bratwurst with warm potato salad. Also enjoy with Asian cuisine including green curries and sweet and sour sauces
