While the season began with a wet cool spring, summer brought typical temperatures across Ontario. July was warm and sunny with intense heat waves and high humidity. Early-ripening grape varieties escaped the wild weather of late fall. The fermentation and aging was done in large stainless steel vats.
TASTING NOTES
This red wine has nutty, pine-like, earthy aromas with characteristic notes of plum and sour cherry. Soft deep flavours of dark forest berries like blackberry and red currant. Pair with flat iron steak, blue cheese burgers and grilled vegetables like red peppers and mushrooms. Also a great match with weekday take-way meals like pizza, lasagna, beef broccoli or spaghetti and meatballs!
