Pinot Grigio Reserve 2021
Vintage & Viticulture
Plants came out of dormancy early in spring, leading to vines getting a jump start on the season. There was an optimism in late-August that the crop would match, if not exceed, that of the previous year. But a warm and wet September caused a delay in grapes maturing and shortened an already challenging harvest.
Three tons of fruit were pulled from our regular fermentation process for our classic style Pinot Grigio for the production of the reserve which saw extended skin contact before fermentation. Juice sat on the skins for sixteen hours before pressing to allow for time of extraction of flavour and colour from the skins
A medium-bodied dry white wine with melon and mineral aromas. The palate is rich and flavourful with a long lingering finish.Enjoy with grilled seafood, smoked salmon and vegetable lasagna
