A cool wet summer originally gave us some concerns about the vintage but patience was rewarded with a hot dry harvest season that allowed grapes to ripen fully.
A slow cold ferment resulted in a well-balanced refreshing wine. The Cabernet blend consists of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45 % Cabernet Franc 10% Merlot. Wines were fermented separately and blended after complete malolactic fermentation. Wine was crafted to maintain a fresh fruit profile hence no oak aging.
Aromas of red and blackberry fruit. On the palate, raspberries, cherries, sweet black berry fruit and a touch of cassis with subtle spice notes. Enjoy with beef or homemade lasagna and hamburgers.
