A cool wet summer originally gave us some concerns about the vintage but patience was rewarded with a hot dry harvest season that allowed grapes to ripen fully. Clean ripe fruit was crushed and fermented on the skins for 12 days.
Wines were made individually and the final cuvee was crafted after wines completed malolactic fermentation. The fermentation and aging was done in large stainless steel vats and this was done to allow the fruit components to remain at the forefront of this wine. The Cuvee consists of 47% Gamay, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot.
Our ever popular off dry, easy drinking red blend has aromas of fresh cherries, raspberries and plums with a dash of pepper. On the palate, sweet, sweet cherries and a refreshing acidity. Try serving this chilled for added complexity and enjoyment.
