Vintage & Viticulture

2015 came in with some unusually and at times brutally cold weather. By April/May the weather normalized and June gave us plenty of rain. The growing season gave us hope with sunny warm weather which ran into harvest time. This allowed us to get good maturation of fruit.

Winemaker’s Notes

Clean ripe fruit was crushed and fermented on the skins for 12 days. Wines were made individually and the final cuvee was crafted after wines completed malolactic fermentation. The fermentation and aging was done in large stainless steel vats and this was done to allow the fruit components to remain at the forefront of this wine. The Cuvee consists of 48% Gamay, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc.

Tasting Notes

Our ever popular off dry, easy drinking red blend has aromas of fresh cherries, raspberries and plums with a dash of pepper. On the palate, sweet, sweet cherries and a refreshing acidity. Try serving this chilled for added complexity and enjoyment.
